The capital of the Kingdom of Spain is Madrid. It has borders with France, the Principality of Andorra, the British territory of Gibraltar and Portugal, as well as with Morocco through its African enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla. The country is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on the region, its lands are bathed by a Mediterranean, oceanic or semi-arid climate.
A country with a rather mountainous relief
Continental Spain has 31 mountain ranges on its territory. Its highest point, the Mulhacén (3,482 m), is located in the Sierra Nevada in the south of the country. Its northern border with France is marked by the Pyrenees mountain range, which forms a physical barrier between the two states. In the northwest, the Cantabrian Mountains punctuate the landscape, while the center of Spain knows the reliefs formed by the Sierra de Guadarrama.
Different rivers flow in the Spanish part of the Iberian Peninsula. The main ones are the Tagus, the Ebro, the Douro, the Guadiana, the Guadalquivir, the Jucar, the Segura and the Miño.
The main cities in Spain are Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Malaga, Murcia, Palma de Mallorca, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Bilbao and Alicante.

Barcelona
Second largest city in Spain and capital of Catalonia, Barcelona is a fascinating city. Built on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, it also has a remarkable heritage. You will be able to admire, among other wonders, the Sagrada Familia, the Güell Park, the Camp Nou and the Gothic Quarter.
Granada
This city of Andalusia has one of the most spectacular monuments in Spain: the Alhambra. This palace, built in the 13th century, is an absolute jewel of Arab-Andalusian architecture. Don't miss the viewpoint of San Nicolas for a spectacular view of the city and a stroll through the narrow streets of the ancient city.
Madrid
