Limoges, prefecture of the Haute-Vienne french department in the New Aquitaine region, is a quiet city in the south-west of France. It is world famous for its porcelain.
Its Gothic cathedral, Saint-Etienne de Limoges, stands in the centre of a historic old town made up mainly of half-timbered houses, particularly rue de la Boucherie, which our artists were able to fly over by drone during the confinement. Lovers of religious buildings will be able to admire the architectural prowess of the Saint-Etienne cathedral and the Saint-Michel-des-Lions church. The historic center also offers beautiful discoveries such as the half-timbered mansions in the temple courtyard, the Place Denis-Dussoubs and the red brick buildings that border it or the central halls that come straight out of the drawing books of Gustave Eiffel's workshops.
But Limoges seen from the sky can be seen from the Place Tourny and the Mairie, Boulevard Gambetta and Garibaldi, Place de la Motte, but also from the side of the market halls or the Cours Jourdan.
Limoges by drone reveals its public gardens, its green spaces, and the Vienne River which flows peacefully through its heart.
